Which is better Metal Casting or CNC Machining

To Answer this, we need to have production quantity size. If the quantity is higher better go for metal casting and CNC Machining needed post metal casting because we cannot get close required tolerances in metal Casting for which casted parts need to undergo CNC machining to get required close tolerances.

There are some issues with metal Casting. Some of them are Blow holes, cracks, uneven fillings, low strength. All these issues occurrences can be lowered in other metal casting techniques like pressure die casting.

This all metal casting techniques used for only higher quantities.

If the quantity is low, better go for CNC Machining directly, so that we don't get any issues like in metal casting.

Production cost either in metal casting or in CNC machining based on the product complexity, we cannot say metal casting is cost effective entirely, Again that depends on the production quantity.
